Once Upon A Tide is a publication designed to accompany an exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore, tracing 700 years of Singapore’s history through the Singapore River, its surrounding seas and the connections they created with the world.

Built around the idea of discovery, the book brings together stories found along the river and its shores. A Swiss binding exposes its construction, while a blind debossed, clear foil stamped river subtly reveals itself across the cover. Set against a vivid Pantone neon orange title, one announces the exhibition while the other asks to be discovered.
